The Coliseum erupted with thunderous applause as the announcer's voice boomed across the sand-filled arena. "Citizens of Valoria! Presenting your three-time champion, the undefeated mistress of mayhem, the steel-fisted fury MORANA DI AVERA!" Morana strode confidently through the iron gates, her muscular frame moving with predatory grace. Short blonde hair caught the sunlight like a halo around her determined face. Her black leotard hugged every defined muscle, leaving her chiseled abdomen exposed. A decorative cloth hung from her belt, fluttering with each practiced movement as she punched the air, sending the crowd into further frenzy. "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" she chanted, her infectious smile and emerald eyes scanning the adoring spectators. Her Strength rating of 10 was legendary throughout Valoria's fighting circuits, complemented by impressive Constitution 8, Dexterity 7, and Agility 7. Only her Intelligence score of 3 indicated any weakness, but Morana had never bothered with book learning, magical theory, or anything beyond combat techniques and daily necessities. "Our champion appears fired up as always!" the announcer continued. "But today, we present a challenger unlike any Morana has faced before from distant eastern lands, a practitioner of forbidden arts. Behold, THE WITCH ZAHARA!" Boos cascaded from the stands as a voluptuous woman sauntered into the arena. Where Morana was athletic and compact, Zahara was curvy and even a little chubby. Her flowing purple robes contrasted sharply with Morana's minimalist fighting gear. "Don't worry," Morana called across the sand, adjusting her knuckle dusters. "I won't punch too hard. I wouldn't want to ruin that pretty face before the audience gets their money's worth." Zahara's painted lips curved into an unsettling smile. "Who said I will be punching at all, my dear?" Morana laughed, tears threatening to spill. Was this woman serious? The Coliseum rarely featured magic users. Their tricks violated the spirit of honest combat that Morana cherished. But if the officials allowed it, she'd simply need to adapt. "COMBATANTS READY? BEGIN!" Morana launched forward with explosive power, right fist prepared for her signature opener a devastating straight punch that had shattered jaws and ended matches in seconds. Her fist shot toward Zahara's face with blinding speed. But instead of connecting with flesh, Morana's arm passed through what appeared to be an illusion. Instantly, she felt strange coldness spread through her right hand, which had turned an ashen gray color and felt inexplicably heavy. "What the fuck?" Morana flexed her fingers, finding them oddly stiff but still mobile. Unlike many fighters who would panic, Morana adapted instantly. "I see your tricks, witch!" she called cheerfully. "Hiding in the sand, are we?" With her unaffected left hand, she hammered the arena floor with such force that sand erupted skyward in a massive cloud. Through the momentary chaos, she spotted Zahara's actual location and pivoted, driving her fist directly into the witch's stomach. The impact sent Zahara flying backward until she collided with the arena wall, spitting blood upon impact. "Got you!" Morana grinned, the crowd roaring approval. As the sand settled around her. However, a strange tingling sensation spread through Morana's entire body. Her muscles seized simultaneously, not in pain, but in complete immobility. Horror dawned as she realized she couldn't move a single finger. Her body had frozen mid-stance, one arm extended from her finishing blow, her face locked in an expression of dawning shock. Zahara rose slowly, wiping blood from her mouth as she approached the immobilized, now petrified champion. "Stone-headed dumbass," she hissed, tapping Morana's forehead with one long fingernail, producing a sound like knuckles on marble. "I infused my petrification curse throughout the coliseum sand yesterday. The moment it touched your skin, your fate was sealed." The crowd erupted in outrage, but Zahara merely shrugged. "Check your precious rulebooks there's nothing prohibiting magical preparation of the battlefield." Inside her stone prison, Morana's consciousness remained fully aware and panicking. She could see, hear, and feel—but couldn't move a muscle. Worse, she sensed her legendary attributes draining away. A status window flashed in her awareness: [Entity Conversion: Human -> Statue] [Attributes Modified: Strength reduced to 1, Dexterity reduced to 1, Agility reduced to 1] [Constitution reduced to 9] [HP reduced to compensate for new form] [Status: Permanent Petrification] Zahara circled her stonework prize, examining Morana's frozen form with clinical interest. With a casual backhand, she struck the decorative cloth hanging from Morana's belt. The fabric is now stone its wearer, shattered into dust and small rock pieces, falling in gray particles to the arena floor. Inside her stone prison, Morana's horror intensified. If the cloth could break so easily, w
