TG BREAKDOWN The wind rushed past Timothy's helmet as he leaned into another curve, the powerful engine of his BMW motorcycle thrumming beneath him. The Austrian Alps rose majestically around him, their peaks still dusted with snow despite it being late spring. This was it—this was the dream. Timothy Brennan, forty years old, blue eyes that had seen too many office cubicles, short brown hair with a fashionable sidecut that Sarah had called his "mid-life crisis haircut." He wore a black leather motorcycle suit that had cost him nearly two thousand euros—but it was worth it. The leather gleamed in the afternoon sun as he navigated the winding mountain roads. Six months. Six months he'd saved and planned for this trip. A solo motorcycle tour across Europe—just him and his machine. Sarah hadn't been thrilled. His wife of fifteen years had made her displeasure known in the weeks leading up to his departure. "Six months, Timothy? Six months without you? What am I supposed to do?" she'd asked, arms crossed. "It's my dream, Sarah. I've wanted to do this since I was a kid. Please... just let me have this," he'd replied. She'd relented, but the guilt had followed him across Germany, through Austria. But out here, on these mountain roads, with nothing but the roar of the engine and the beauty of nature around him—he felt alive. Truly alive. He was following a remote country road along the Austrian-Slovenian border, heading toward a small hotel he'd booked for the night. The road was barely traveled, winding through dense forest. Perfect. And then he felt it. A sputter. The engine hiccupped. "What the—" Another sputter. The bike faltered, power cutting for just a moment. Then— BANG! A loud explosion from the engine. Smoke began to pour from beneath him. The bike rapidly lost speed. "No, no, no! Not here! Not now!" Timothy shouted, steering the dying motorcycle to the side of the narrow road. He came to a stop, the engine making terrible grinding sounds before falling silent. A wisp of smoke rose from the engine block. Timothy sat there for a moment, stunned, before dismounting and pulling off his helmet. "Damn... this can't be happening. And right here, in the middle of nowhere," he muttered to himself, running a hand through his sweat-dampened hair. The black leather suit gleamed in the golden light of the setting sun, which was beginning to sink behind the dark treetops of the forest. He knelt beside the bike, examining it. Even with his limited mechanical knowledge, he could tell this wasn't something he could fix on the roadside. This needed proper tools. Maybe even a workshop. His destination—the hotel with its warm bed and hot shower—was still at least thirty kilometers away. "Shit. Must be my rotten luck..." he said, securing the bike's locks and grabbing his helmet. He looked around. Dense forest on both sides. No signs of civilization. The sun was setting fast. He pulled out his phone. No signal. Of course. "Damn phone has no signal! Not even GPS..." he muttered, feeling the first tendrils of real worry creeping in. He looked at the forest, then noticed a small dirt path leading away from the road. "There's got to be something around here. Maybe a hunter's cabin or a farmhouse where I can spend the night... It's going to get really cold soon." He started walking, boots crunching on the dirt path. The forest was thick, ancient trees forming a canopy overhead. The temperature was already dropping. He pulled his leather suit tighter, grateful for its warmth. Half an hour passed. The sun had set completely now, and the moon was rising, casting silver light through the trees. Timothy was beginning to consider the very real possibility that he'd have to spend the night in the forest when he saw it. Through the trees, illuminated by moonlight: stone walls. Ancient stone walls. A monastery. Old... very old. Timothy approached, relief washing over him. "Okay, now that looks promising. Maybe I could spend the night there. Maybe someone even lives there." The old stone walls surrounding the monastery were at least three meters high, weathered by centuries. He found an entrance—a wooden gate that stood open. Inside, he could see a courtyard. And torches. Lit torches and candles. Someone was definitely here. "Hello? Is anyone here?" he called out as he stepped into the monastery courtyard. His voice echoed off the ancient stones. The courtyard was cobbled, with a well in the center. Gothic architecture surrounded him—pointed arches, buttresses, everything weathered by time. Candlelight flickered in several windows. And suddenly, she was standing before him. A nun. But not like any nun Timothy had ever seen. She was in her mid-thirties, with a lean, androgynous build. Her face was striking—sharp features that were almost severe, yet undeniably attractive. Intense dark eyes, framed by black eyeshadow that seemed too dramatic for a woman of the cloth. Her hair was cut in a severe black bob, geometric and modern. Her lips were
