(Commission cap for TheToo) Matilda wiped her palms against her purple apron, the fabric already showing small imprints where her nervous fingers had compressed the material. At forty three, she still felt excitement before trying new things, but the camera lens staring at her from across the kitchen counter made her body feel weird and unfocused. "Okay, hun, is the setup ready?" Her feet tapped against the tile floor in an anxious rhythm, the sound echoing through their empty kitchen. With Maurice at work and the younger kids at their friends' houses, this was the perfect opportunity. Her oldest daughter Melina adjusted the camera one final time, her brown eyes sparkling with encouragement. "Yeah, Mom, it's ready. Just be yourself. And... go!" Matilda took a deep breath, tucking a strand of purple hair behind her ear. "He... llo... everyone! It's your favorite... s s s squishy chef here!" She winced internally at the stutter but pushed forward. "Today we're going to make a chocolate cake from scratch. Something simple but delicious that anyone can do at home!" The words came easier now as she focused on the ingredients spread before her. Cooking had always been her refuge, something about mixing ingredients together, putting her love into it, and watching it all slowly take form made her feel at ease. Maybe it was because of her Squishy nature, the way substances blended and reformed mirrored her own. Maurice had told her for years that if she wasn't so shy, she could have had her own cooking TV show. The video seemed like a logical first step for now. "First, we need our dry ingredients." She reached for the flour container, her hand trembling slightly. The camera caught everything. "Two cups of all purpose flour, one and a half cups of sugar..." Getting off her Squishy blocker medications ten months ago had changed everything. Life felt interesting again, like before they decided to have kids. Something about losing the squishiness out of Squishies did make a difference to one's personality and zest for life. Now she felt young and great again. Even her figure was getting better with each passing month. Squishies lived much longer than regular humans, and without the suppressants dampening her natural biology, she was experiencing a second youth. "Now for the wet ingredients." Matilda cracked an egg against the bowl's edge. Her fingers compressed slightly from the impact, flattening against the shell. She quickly reformed them, hoping the camera hadn't caught the moment. Melina giggled from behind the lens. "You're doing great, Mom!" Matilda smiled, feeling more confident. "We'll need a cup of milk, half a cup of vegetable oil..." She measured carefully, pouring each ingredient with practiced precision. The milk splashed slightly as it hit the bowl, a few drops landing on her forearm. The liquid soaked into her skin immediately. Her flesh softened where the milk touched, the area growing translucent and yielding. "Oops!" She laughed nervously, wiping at her arm. The motion only spread the moisture, making more of her forearm destabilize. "Just a small spill, nothing to worry about!" But worry crept in as she noticed her skin taking on a lighter, almost creamy purple consistency where the milk had penetrated. She needed to focus, to finish before things got worse. "Now we mix the dry and wet ingredients together." Matilda dumped the flour mixture into the bowl with the liquids. White powder puffed up in a cloud, coating her hands and wrists. Where it stuck to her milk dampened skin, it immediately began forming a purple paste. "Unngh!" The sensation was strange, her flesh binding with the flour. She tried to brush it off, but her fingers were growing softer, more pliable. Each attempt to clean herself only worked the paste deeper into her unstable skin. "Mix it all together until smooth," she narrated, trying to maintain her cheerful persona despite the growing panic. Her hands gripped the wooden spoon, but they compressed around the handle, fingers losing their distinct shape. The mixing motion sent small waves through her increasingly unstable arms. With each stir, more flour dust settled on her skin, bonding with the moisture there. "Mom, your hands..." Melina's voice held concern and fascination. "It's fine sweetie, just keep filming!" Matilda forced brightness into her tone. "Now we add the cocoa powder for that rich chocolate flavor!" She reached for the cocoa with hands that were now distinctly dough like, fingers stuck together by the flour paste coating them. The container slipped from her compromised grip, tumbling directly into the mixing bowl with a heavy splash. Chocolate mixture erupted upward, splattering across Matilda's chest and face. The warm liquid soaked through her apron and blouse immediately, her mass responding to the moisture by softening dramatically. "Ohhhhh no!" Her breasts began to sag, the weight pulling them down as they lost cohesion. The fabric of her bra stretched, then
